The 23 year old Jason Pagara was defeated via 10-round unanimous decision over the Mexican opponent Rosbel Montoya in the undercard fight of Melindo vs Rosas in Pinoy Pride 8 Philippines vs Mexico at the Cebu City Waterfront Hotel and Casino, Cebu, Philippines on last September 10, 2011.
The former WBO Asia Pacific Youth light welterweight title holder Jason Pagara was hard enough to adjust his fighting style against the experienced fighter Rosbel Montoya in almost rounds but Pagara still have the chance to caught him by some combinations and right hooks yet it didn't hurt a lot. Every time Pagara tries to form inside for an attack, he was set up by the hard left jab of Montoya due to lack of head movement. That was the big mistake of Pagara for not changing his style earlier in the fight (jab jab left and right) and the lack of head movement. Hope Pagara learned something in the fight and back on his next fight with full of tactics and great movements.
Due to the rules and regulations, the WBO Asia Pacific Youth light welterweight title declared vacant because Rosbel Montoya exceed a pound in the weigh-in.
