Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs Sebastian Zbik Fight Results - Round-by-Round Highlights

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. takes the WBC Middleweight Champion Title by beating Sebastian Zbik of Germany via Majority decision on Saturday evening June 4, 2011 live at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs Sebastian Zbik round-by-round Highlights:


Round 1:

Sebastian Zbik started the game as he throw the first job. At 30 seconds remaining, both guys exchanged hard punches. Sebastian Zbik hit Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. but Chavez answers back with a combinations.

Round 2:

Sebastian Zbik hit Chavez Jr. with 2 shots combination. At 1:11 Chavez landed a low blow to Zbik. In the final minute of round 2, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. landed hard body shots to Sebastian Zbik. Super great round.

Round 3:

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. stays calm and cover the punches of Sebastian Zbik. When Zbik landed hard punches to the Mexican warrior, Chavez says come'on and answers back a strong hard combinations but Zbik defended well with his up hands.

Round 4:

Sebastian Zbik landed a strong shot and on the final minute, he landed again with hard combinations to Chavez and Chavez was not throwing punches.

Round 5:

Both guys exchanged hard punches. Chavez keeps on working on the body of Sebastian Zbik and throwing some uppercuts.
Zbik landed 2 hard right hook to Chavez. Chavez got a chance to land a strong shot in the final seconds of round 5 as Sebastian Zbik staggered and the bell rang.

Round 6:

Chavez started the round aggressively. Chavez return to its condition as he threw more punches. Sebastian Zbik hit Chavez by an elbow (warning from the referee). Chavez hurt Zbik by a right hook in the final minute of round 6.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. switching to southpaw and keeps working on the body of Sebastian Zbik. Chavez hit Zbik by the right hand and followed up a strong combinations, Zbik staggered. Zbik was cornered and no answers to the punches of Chavez Jr.


Round 8:

Sebastian Zbik started the round as if nothing happened in the 7th round. Zbik hit Chavez by a good right hand and both guys exchanged hard punches.

Round 9:

Sebastian Zbik started with a left hook to Chavez and the Mexican warrior says come'on, let's get it on. Zbik again hit Chavez by a right hook in the last final minute of round 9 and a warning calls for Zbik as he bringing the head of Chavez down. Chavez keeps working on the body.

Round 10:

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. started the round aggressively as he threw combinations while Sebastian Zbik keeps on covering his face. Chavez throwing low punches in the round. Zbik  landed successfully a combinations but Chavez answered back with a strong combinations too. Chavez landed hard punches again to Zbik in the final seconds of the round. Zbik looks very tired.

Round 11:

Sebastian Zbik was tired while Chavez keeps on pressuring and throwing body shots and uppercuts. At 1:40, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.  landed so many punches, body shots and uppercuts but Sebastian Zbik no answers and looks so tired. Chavez landed lot of combinations again in the final seconds and Zbik answered slightly then the bell rang.

Round 12:

Sebastian Zbik started throwing punches but Chavez keep doing the same thing in the previous round. Chavez corner Zbik and landed power punches then Zbik got an answered with combinations. At 1:10, Chavez started again dominating Zbik but the warrior from Germany landed a left hook to the chin of Chavez. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was so tired too. At 10 seconds remaining, both guys exchanged hard punches putting lots of actions.

As Michael Buffer announced the score 114-114, 115-113 and 116-112, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. winning by Majority Decision against Sebastian Zbik of Germany. Chavez made a history in boxing as he was the first Mexican boxer who won the Middleweight World Title bout. He defeated Sebastian Zbik and Chavez was the newly crowned World Boxing Council Middleweight Champion of the World with no defeats in his record.
